 In 2000, the University of Windsor renamed its Business Administration program to the Odette School of Business, in honour of staunch supporters Edmond and Louis Odette. The Odettes have made significant financial contributions, gifts of art and sculpture, and endowed the Odette Research Chair in Business.Our strategic location on the Canada/U.S. border, combined with a talented and internationally diverse faculty, provides our students and business partners with opportunities other Canadian business schools cannot duplicate. At the centre of Canada's own automotive industry, the University is also in the heartland of traditional North American manufacturing industries and newer high technology industries. It is this environment which affords students and faculty members nearby access to a wide array of business and industry at the forefront of modern global competition. The Odette School of Business has more than 2,000 full- and part-time students currently enrolled in its diverse array of undergraduate, graduate programs. The majority of business courses are offered in the impressive Odette Building, a five story, technologically modern structure housing classrooms, computer labs, dining facilities, faculty offices, lounge area, and break-out meeting rooms. Students are active in a variety of organizations housed both within the Odette School as well as the larger university. The school has over 60 full-time, part-time and sessional faculty members who represent a rich cross-section of business acumen and expertise. Our faculty members hail from all parts of the globe and have taught, consulted and performed research in dozens of countries. Ranked among the top third of all Canadian business schools in research achievement, Odette faculty members have won awards, written numerous textbooks and articles, led scholarly associations, and are grant recipients, among other things. |
