International MBA Program

Founded in 1911, the Helsinki School of Economics is Finland’s leading university in economics and business administration. HSE was awarded the EQUIS European Quality label in 1998, and belongs to prestigious business school networks such as CEMS and PIM. Its International MBA program has been accredited by AMBA since 1997.

The HSE International Program is designed for the ambitious young professionals, who strive for academic excellence. The objective of our MBA Program is to give students a thorough understanding of interdisciplinary business and cultural issues and to create a global networking environment for the future.

The program is taught by visiting faculty from the leading business schools around the world, e.g. Emory, Georgetown, Austin, Adelaide, ESADE, Cambridge. The teaching is highly interactive with a combination of lectures, casework and presentations. Given the very international student body, cross-cultural issues are an integral part of the daily classroom experience.

The full-time program may be completed in as little as 12 months. The part-time track, which is equal in content and quality to the full-time program, is designed to be completed in two years. Participants benefit from a high degree of flexibility, as courses are structured as intensive modules lasting two weeks.

The first half of both programs is devoted to 12 core courses, which provide general foundation. In the second half students tailor their individual learning program by choosing from a broad range of electives. Concentrations are offered in: Information Technology Management, High Technology Entrepreneurship, International Finance and General Management. In addition to the courses offered within the concentrations, there is a wide choice of management and marketing electives.
