Department of External Affairs

Founded in 1907, and located on two Paris-based campuses, ESSEC Business School offers a broad range of study options, both full and part time, taught in English and/or French. Postgraduate programmes include specialised MS programmes (both full and part time), the generalist ESSEC MBA, two specialised MBAs (hospitality management and luxury brand management), the ESSEC - Mannheim Executive MBA, company training programmes, and a Doctoral programme. Admission is based on a good undergraduate degree, GMAT or TAGE-MAGE tests and proficiency in English or French; all admissible candidates are interviewed.

Instruction takes the form of lectures, seminars and tutorials, case studies and project work. The school has an extensive network of academic partners around the world, including major MBA schools. These afford exchange opportunities for students and faculty, double-degree options, and joint research projects.

Around 3,500 students and 5,000 managers study on the two campuses each year. In 1997, ESSEC became the first business school outside North America to be accredited by the AACSB International - the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. It received accreditation from EQUIS, the European Quality Improvement System, in 2003.

The ESSEC Alumni Association, based at Maison des ESSEC in Paris, is an important resource for students and alumni throughout their professional careers. Today, ESSEC has more than 26,000 graduates working all over the world in positions of responsibility at the highest level of the business community.
