Athens Laboratory of Business Administration


Created in 1992, with funds supplied by the European Union and Greek corporations, ALBA is a not-for-profit educational organisation of graduate studies in business administration. ALBA operates under the auspices of the Federation of Greek Industries, the Hellenic Management Association, and the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It is an association of corporations, currently numbering 50.

ALBA aims to be a leading centre of research and teaching excellence in postgraduate business education in Greece and in Europe through an emphasis on generating and effectively communicating actionable knowledge that will lead to knowledgeable action. ALBA aspires to educate the visionary leaders of tomorrow who will act as agents of change and will shape the future business world.

It does so by offering a rigorous postgraduate business education of the highest international academic standards. Currently, ALBA offers four top-quality, highly demanding academic programmes:

  • Full-time MBA: intensive programme for university graduates and professionals with three to five years of experience, with a placement record of over 90% within five months from completion of studies

  • Professional MBA: part-time evening courses exclusively for working professionals with at least three years of experience

  • MSc in Business for Lawyers: part-time evening courses exclusively for law practitioners

  • MSc in Strategic Human Resources Management: part-time courses for university graduates and professionals interested/working in human resources functions.

  • MSc in Finance: full time & part time program for those who want to succeed in the dynamic world of finance.


ALBA’s faculty, resident and visiting, is drawn from the best business schools around the world. All ALBA professors are leading management academics and practitioners, with extensive teaching, research and consulting experience.
