Wits Business SchoolWe have just celebrated the gathering of two prestigious associations at the Wits Business School campus – both of which share a passion for life-long business learning.



The first, WBS Alumni, gathered in Parktown at the start of October for the second Annual Alumni Weekend.

Engagement with our Alumni forms of one our pillars of excellence. Our Alumni Weekend was well attended and our lecturers once again offered workshops to bring our past students up to speed on the new ways of approaching business management and leadership.

The weekend, while offering various forms of entertainment, was a platform to foster networking and to strengthen the ties of our Alumni.

In meeting with alumni at the WBS reunion in London in August and then at the Alumni Weekend, I was struck by the passion that people for the school. Our alumni recognise that we are taking them seriously but we have also heard their requests to provide a fuller package of alumni offerings so that they really feel that they belong.

Their input will allow WBS forge strong relationships.

In the same vein, as we look inward to the family of WBS, we also need to look outward and ensure that WBS takes its place in the global business environment.

We are proud to have successfully hosted the first Partnership in International Management (PIM) conference in Africa.
