The MBA

When you study for the Westminster MBA, you will cover a core of management topics. You will become familiar with the language and methods of management, including accounting, finance, statistics, human-resources management and strategy, marketing, law, economics, organisational change, and the management of operations and information.

When you have mastered this core, you will begin to integrate your studies by exploring the topic of strategy. You will take part in a business simulation that will help you experience firsthand the resolution of strategic issues.

International travel is also a part of the course. Whether there is an exciting chance to learn, you will be provided with the opportunity (included in the cost of the course) to attend a residential study tour outside of England.Wherever the destination, this study tour will give you the chance to interact with practising managers who are experiencing the day-to-day realities of a complex world of management.

Your studies will not stop there. On the Westminster MBA, you can focus your attention on a specific area, like international business or finance, by choosing your electives wisely. We offer a wide range of specialist topics from which you can choose, many taught by leading scholars and practitioners in the field.

Further focus and integration of the course will take place through your MBA project. In this, you will prepare yourself for your future career by putting all of your studies together in a final work. This will help you to develop the skills of independent action, in-depth thinking, clear presentation and logical persuasion. In your project, you will balance depth of knowledge with breadth of scope. You will engage in work that has practical relevance to an employer and career relevance to you.
