College of Business AdministrationWelcome to the College of Business Administration at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. The mission of the College is to foster intellectual curiosity, business insight, and effective leadership. We are dedicated to educating the next generation of ethical global business leaders. Of the many elements that make an effective leader, four are primary.

All effective leaders are ethical, have strong leadership skills, are entrepreneurial in thinking, and increasingly, have global awareness. One of the unique aspects of the College of Business Administration is the way in which our faculty works cross-discipline to enhance the goal of developing ethical global leaders.

Our Four Pillars of Excellence: Ethics, Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and International Experience will develop the kinds of leaders needed in the global economy.

• In ethics, each department and most faculty work together to create an ethics curriculum that puts real ethical dilemmas in front of our students. Business leaders are invited into classes to speak to the students about the ethical dilemmas faced by organizations in today’s environment.

• The entire College is focused on leadership and students take leadership classes from freshman year through graduate school. The UNL-Gallup Leadership Institute is one of the premier academic units researching leadership
