Business Administration

Business AdministrationThe strength of the Business Administration program stems from small class sizes and the unique nature of our faculty. Class size averages 20 students, thus assuring personal attention. All of the department’s faculty, besides having sound academic credentials, have extensive business experience, and most are still active in the business world. Consequently, students are exposed to current and "real life" material. At St. Joseph’s, the quality of teaching and interaction with students are our highest priorities, and therefore faculty are always available to assist students.

Half of the curriculum encompasses business and business related topics such as management, marketing, finance, accounting, business law and economics. Additional courses, such as philosophy, history, English, mathematics and the natural sciences are designed to broaden students’ knowledge and enhance their abilities to think critically. All students also have electives so that they can pursue individual areas of interest. The department also offers optional concentrations in Finance, Marketing, International Business and Information Systems.

The Long Island Campus' new $8 million Business Technology Center houses computer workshops, classrooms and faculty offices. The center is part of our strong commitment to support more technology-based learning.
