Review of the home page section on workingmums.co.uk
No site can be successful if they do not have a good Home Page. This is the page that you are directed to from any search engine results, this is the page that wins or loses custom, and this is the page that above all people will make a snap judgment on.
In a nutshell a Home Page should portray everything that is available on the site. Workingmums.com has done an excellent job. At one glance you can decipher that it offers listings of jobs, their top employers, and an area for employers to head to and plenty of articles about working and parenthood. When I viewed it for the first time I knew that this site meant business, and that I was going to find all the information I needed at workingmums.co.uk.
The home page is easy to use and is very clear where you can click and where this will direct you after you have chosen what to click. Large logos of companies and stores that hire form this site are clearly seen on the far left side. This adds an ounce of professionalism to the page, as you cannot turn your nose up at a site that has the likes of Sainsburys, RBS, Hobbs, nPower, Boots and TK Max. Such high earning names provide the reassurance that this site will do its utmost bed to provide you with a job and help you through the difficult times of being a working mum.
A home page that provides this much information is perfect. Perhaps it is a little crowded and there could be smaller statements that provide the same information, but all in all it does exactly as it set out to do. It shows what they have, what they can offer you and how other customers have fared with them.
