Andrews University (School of Business Administration)
Andrews University, first known as Battle Creek College, was established in 1874 in Battle Creek, Michigan. In 1901, the college relocated to Berrien Springs and was named Emmanuel Missionary College, reflecting the humanitarian objectives of the Seventh-day Adventist church pioneers who founded the school. In 1960 the institution changed its name to Andrews University, in honor of the first Seventh-day Adventist foreign missionary and in recognition of the growing stature of the institution and its increasing number of masters and doctoral programs.
Graduate level instruction in business began in 1964. By 1980 graduate and undergraduate instruction was combined and the School of Business established. The School of Business currently offers the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Business Administration degrees, and Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Administration degrees. The school has over 200 students on-campus. An additional 30 professional students study in extension programs in Trinidad.
