Delta State University (College of Business)
The College of Business provides opportunities for graduate and undergraduate students to learn business principles and techniques, economic theories and policies and to acquire a well-rounded general education.
The College's faculty is committed to excellence in teaching, inquiry and service to the region and to their profession. Numerous assessment and evaluation techniques are used to ensure an educational content and environment which prepares our graduates for leadership positions upon graduation. Special efforts are made to provide opportunities for our students to develop their poise, confidence and skills in written and oral presentations of information.
The College consists of two divisions and one department with an undergraduate enrollment of approximately 1,000 students and a graduate enrollment of approximately 200. Each of the units has its own objectives, requirements for majors, and descriptions of courses. These units are:
• Division of Accountancy, Computer Information Systems and Finance.
• Department of Commercial Aviation.
• Division of Management and Marketing and Business Administration.
• Department of Graduate Business Programs.
Additionally, the College has a Small Business Development Center, the Center for Entrepreneurial and Business Research, and a Chair of Entrepreneurship in Business Technology.
