Translation – a new business


When someone creates a business – whatever it is – he/she has the purpose of making the company grow in the market. One of the best ways to increase your sells is by Internationalization, opening your business to new markets most of the time means more incomes, however when the company grows the people in the company have to grow as well. When you have foreign companies as clients it is important to have people in your company who speak their language very well so they can communicate with them and make them feel comfortable when the negotiations are done. Sometimes a person can speak a language very well however they cannot write it or at least not in a perfect way. Writing a document is a very important process and just knowing the language is not enough; to translate a document is necessary a complete knowledge of both languages, it is better if you know the topic you are going to talk about because you can clearly express the ideas the paragraph has in the other language.

Writing an e-mail or a letter to a client is not really formal so some mistakes are permitted but imagine making a mistake in a contract or in a pro forma; it can completely affect the meaning of the document besides the client will have a bad impression of the company. For example, to translate Spanish to English, because of the many grammatical differences the quality can vary according to the website you enter; since the translation is done by software and not by a person, so make sure to always check the translation before you use it. You can also try to change back the translated piece to make sure it means exactly what you want to express, although this doesn’t always work as well.

Translation is a job that can be done anywhere, it is not necessary to be in an office, therefore many people consider it as a Job freelance. And see it as a good opportunity to get some extra money. In fact there are many translators who work Freelance because it allows them to do other activities at the same time. And the companies look for them as well because they get translators for their companies without having to pay all the benefits as if they were working full time.
